Warning: Spoilers for Morbius and the post-credits scenes ahead.

Although it’s so far resulted in , Morbius has hinted about what’s set to come in the MCU and Sony universe.

The new film stars Jared Leto as Michael Morbius, a biochemist who is fighting to find a cure for his rare blood disease.

He ends up inadvertently developing a rare form of vampirism with his ‘cure’, and is forced to try to stop his childhood friend (Matt Smith) from causing a massacre.

Following the movie, there are two end-credits scenes, which set up what is about to happen next.

What happens in the Morbius post-credits scenes?

In the first scene, we’re reintroduced to Michael Keaton’s Adrian Toomes, who mysteriously shows up in a prison cell.

News reports show him being taken away from the cell and, presumably, released.

Adrian, also known as Vulture, is a black market arms dealer and was introduced in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

In the second scene, Vulture appears to have found his suit (or made a new one), tracking down Morbius.

He goes on to say: ‘Nice to meet you Doc. I’ve been reading about you.

‘Not really sure how I got here but it has to do with Spider-Man, I think. I’m still figuring this place out but I still think a bunch of guys like us should team up — we could do some good.’

It seems to refer back to the No Way Home post-credits scene, which showed Venom (Tom Hardy) getting sent back to the Sony universe as a result of Doctor Strange’s botched spell for Spider-Man (Tom Holland) in the main film.

What happens next?

Espinosa said fans will find out which Spider-Man is in the Venom universe ‘very soon’ (Picture: Sony Pictures)

Morbius has given some very big suggestions about what might happen now – and it’s got a lot to do with Spider-Man.

Asked in a which Spider-Man exists in the same universe as Morbius, he responded: ‘It is my understanding that audiences will discover the answer soon.’

Espinosa was then asked whether Vulture’s inclusion in Morbius is setting up for a Sinister Six movie.

He responded: ‘Well, he is recruiting teammates and he has enticed one already. So it sure looks like a start.’

Morbius is in cinemas now.
