star Dappy celebrated making the group’s show tonight (Wednesday), although revealed his voice wasn’t fully back following the on Tuesday.
The I Need You hitmakers were due to perform at the Motorpoint Arena on Tuesday evening as part of their sold out Back To The Future tour in the UK.
However, fans who had waited for hours were reportedly given just five minutes’ notice that the show would not be going ahead just before 9pm.
Apologising for letting fans down so last-minute, the band – comprised of Dappy, former judge Tulisa Contostavlos and Fazer – took to Instagram earlier today to share that they were as planned.
An earlier statement had told fans that Dappy had been unable to perform last night and ‘needed to rest’, and he later shared a video to Instagram which revealed his hoarse-sounding voice.
Taking to social media again on Wednesday afternoon, Dappy was sounding positive about the looming concert in a few hours’ time at the O2 Arena but revealed his vocal health still wasn’t 100%.
‘So yeah, my voice is still not fully back. I took some antibiotics last night and quite a few different syrups.
‘I started trying to sing a few notes today and I could,’ he added in the clip, demonstrating.
‘Then I said, let’s do it, let’s do today’s show.’
He also apologised to the band’s Nottingham fans again, reassuring them that the show was rescheduled and their tickets were still valid.
‘See you guys tonight,’ he signed off.
In text written across his video clip, which appeared to have been filmed while in the car, Dappy shared: ‘When da voice goes, it just goes. It tends to happen when you sing live night after night without ANY backing vocals or proper breaks.’
‘See you soon Nottingham and see u tonight London,’ he then reassured.
His next upload showed footage of the capacity crowd cheering at the O2 Arena as the band was being introduced in London, and he proudly captioned it: ‘Night 2 at the O2 London sold out 2 da brim, ready? [sic]’.
His final clip on his Stories then showed him by the tour buses and his car as he narrated to camera: ‘Guess who made it? I’m here, boi. Night two at the O2, and this is officially the third time we’ve sold out.’
‘It’s the second night on this tour,’ he added, ‘voice or no voice I’m here!’
On Tuesday, fans had already watched support acts perform and were gearing up for the main event in Nottngham when a message announcing the cancellation appeared on the big screen on stage.
In a statement on Twitter, the band said: ‘We’re so sorry we had to cancel the show tonight.
‘We tried to do everything possible to make the show happen, but a doctor advised at the very last minute that Dappy was unable to perform and needed to rest tonight…
‘The O2 Arena show tomorrow (November 23rd) and the rest of the tour will still be going ahead. We will make a further statement after Dappy has seen the doctor again tomorrow morning.’
They added: ‘We had to take this advice seriously and consider Dappy’s health so that the rest of the tour can happen, which has so far been amazing.
‘We’re deeply sorry to all the fans who travelled to see us tonight and promise to make it up to you with a new rescheduled date for the show.’

The trio rose to fame in the late 2000s and earned their first number one in 2009 with their Tinchy Stryder collaboration Number 1, while their first two albums, Uncle B and Against All Odds have been certified platinum in the UK.
The group have won four Mobo awards, including best newcomer in 2007, best album and best act in 2009 and best song in 2010 and were nominated for the Brit award for best British single in 2010.
