Barbie actor Ncuti Gatwa has shed light on some of the wild antics behind the scenes of Greta Gerwig’s upcoming blockbuster, revealing Margot Robbie took the cast on an X-rated night out.
The star, who is taking over as the new Time Lord in , is set to appear alongside Ryan Gosling, , Ferrera, Emma Mackey, Kate McKinnon, and Will Ferrell in the hotly anticipated film.Â
Ahead of , Ncuti shared details of what the cast got up to in-between filming, and honestly, it sounds like an absolute hoot.Â
‘One of the best nights of my life was when Margot took all the Barbies and all the Kens out in London to see Magic Mike Live,’ Ncuti told as he graced the cover of the magazine’s August/September issue.Â
‘That was… I don’t know how I made it through any filming in the week after, my voice was gone from screaming so much. The videos in the group chat the next morning were the best. Â
‘Greta Gerwig’s assistant was pulled up on stage and given a lap dance and Greta was screaming in delight.’
He added: ‘Afterwards, we went and danced our hearts out. Margot is a very, very good party host. She’s queen of the vibes.’
Besides starring in the Barbie film, Ncuti is also gearing up to play the 15th Doctor in acclaimed BBC series, Doctor Who.Â
It’s already been announced that the new Time Lord will of course be joined by his faithful companion, – and the duo have already been the Russell T Davies drama together.
Giving an insight into his iteration of the Time Lord, Ncuti teased to the publication: ‘My Doctor is emotionally vulnerable. He hides it with humour, but he’s lonely.
‘I can’t say much more than that; I don’t want to spoil anything. But he’s also energetic! The poor cameramen struggled to keep up.’Â
Ahead of Ncuti’s grand debut in the 14th season of Doctor Who, David Tennant will be to mark the fantasy series’ 60th anniversary.
The actor originally played the Doctor from 2005-2010, before returning for a special five years later.
