Nearly 300 original props from Better Call Saul are set to be auctioned off for charity – and they have hefty price tags

Almost 300 original props from the set of are set to be auctioned off for charity by American auction website Propstore.

The critically acclaimed AMC series is a prequel to , which follows the life of lawyer Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) before he meets Walter White (Bryan Cranston).

After being on the air for six years and six seasons, Better Call Saul broadcast its earlier this month – and now fans are being given the chance to own items from the series.

A whopping bid of $26,000 (roughly £22,000) has been placed on the briefcase carried by Saul during the series, and looks set to be the winning bid.

Meanwhile, the bell attached to the wheelchair of Hector Salamanca (Mark Margolis) looks set to collect at least $11,000 (£9,000).

The is in support of , a care package charity in Albuquerque in the US state of New Mexico, where Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul were set and filmed.

The program was set up during the Covid-19 pandemic and has attempted to help families with gifts and donations from the local community.

A fan has bid over $3,000 (£2,552) for Gus Fring’s (Giancarlo Esposito) famous yellow Los Pollos Hermanos manager’s shirt.

In addition, a significant amount of money has been raised by bids on items such as Jimmy McGill’s 2nd Best Lawyer mug, which is gifted to him by Kim Wexler (Rhea Seehorn).

Chuck Costas, vice president of marketing for Propstore, said: ‘For six seasons now, we’ve watched the evolution of ‘Slippin’ Jimmy’ McGill into the smooth-talking cartel lawyer that we first met on Breaking Bad.’

He continued: ‘Propstore is proud to be hosting this auction event to allow fans an opportunity to take home an authentic piece from this classic television series for their collection.’

The auction was started on August 18 and is set to run through until September 1, when the winning bids will be announced.

Better Call Saul’s final season achieved a 99% rating on Rotten Tomatoes – the joint-highest score received by the show.
