The popular American reality competition series, based on the original British TV show of the same name, sees players communicate via text on a specially-designed social media application that gives them the ability to portray themselves in any way they choose.
As a result, players can decide to present themselves as a completely different person and catfish their competitors or they can play as themselves.
This season, the trailer has hinted at a Spice Girl joining the mix, and one fan thinks they’ve already spotted who it is, based on her iconic ‘cackle’.
Sharing the excitement on Twitter, a fan wrote: ‘I would recognise that cackle ANYWHERE !! MEL B? ACTUAL SPICE GIRLS ON THE CIRCLE ALERT.’
‘More money, new gameplay and a lot more spice,’ the trailer teases, with ‘Spice’ filled in with the Union Jack flag – which Ginger Spice Geri Halliwell famously wore on her 1997 Brit Awards dress.
The trailer also shows the silhouettes of other Spice Girls, before Scary Spice’s laugh at the end.
