Nicolas Cage showed off his most rockstar outfit during a break from filming on the set of Renfield, the upcoming film in which he stars as Dracula.

The actor, 58, was seen relaxing in between filming as he carried two cans of drink in one hand between trailers in New Orleans.

Nicolas was seen rocking bold leopard print trousers and a white T-shirt with a photo of Buddy Holly on it, as well as black boots.

His face had a noticeable pallor due to the white make-up he’d been given for his role as the vampire Dracula, as well as dark black eyebrows.

His co-star Nicholas Hoult, 32, who plays the titular role, was also spotted leaving the set later in the evening with his hair looking dishevelled after a long day of work, and wearing a white long-sleeved top and jogging bottoms with a holdall slung over his shoulder.

Nicolas was also seen being visited by his wife, Riko Shibata, 27, who is currently pregnant with their first child.

The couple married in February 2021 and news of their pregnancy was confirmed a year later. The many will be the actor’s third child, with him having sons Weston, 31, and Kal-El, 17, from past relationships.

Riko was seen wearing a black mask and holding the couple’s dog as she visited her husband at work.

The film is based on the original Dracula novel by Bram Stoker in which RM Renfield appears, but has been given a shake-up to take place in a contemporary setting rather than the 19th century like the book.

The character is introduced in a mental hospital being treated for ‘zoophagous mania’ which causes him to eat insects before progressing on to larger animals.

It later transpires that he is in fact a burgeoning vampire and his origins can be traced back to Dracula himself.

Renfield is being directed by The Lego Batman Movie and The Tomorrow War director Chris McKay, with the screenplay written by former Rick And Morty writer Ryan Ridley from a story outline by Robert Kirkman, who co-created the Walking Dead comic books.
