Nicole Scherzinger and Thom Evans’ full relationship timeline as they announce engagement

Along with two other rugby players, Thom appeared on spin-off show X Factor: Celebrity as a member of Try Star.

Nicole was a judge but wasn’t playing favourites as the group placed fifth although there had been some flirting speculation among fans.

Thom later revealed that he and Nicole got chatting when Try Star thanked her for saving them on the show.

When asked on Loose Women about their romance, Thom said: ‘Who wouldn’t want to date Nicole? She’s gorgeous.’

Two months after his singing debut, the unofficial lovebirds were spotted on a possible date in London.

They went shopping before hopping into a taxi together, leaving fans almost certain romance was in the air.

It’s not official until your first red carpet as a couple and Nicole and Thom launched their relationship in style at a Golden Globes afterparty.

Nicole looked gorgeous in a one-shoulder baby pink gown while Thom sported a dapper suit and bow tie.

Days later they were spotted out and about in LA together too with their romance confirmed.

A nerve-wracking moment for any couple but nine months after meeting, Nicole was introduced to Thom’s parents.

The rugby player posted a sweet picture for Father’s Day of the four of them, with Nicole’s arms thrown over his shoulders.

‘Happy Father’s Day Dad! Love ya 9 iron Brian x,’ he wrote.

It’s unclear if the photo was from before the big day or if that was the first time Nicole had met his parents but they all looked very happy and comfortable together.

Thom shared an adorable picture of the pair kissing on a boat at sunset for Nicole’s birthday.

He wrote: ‘Very grateful to have you in my life @nicolescherzinger Happy Belated Birthday my ❤️.’

The rugby player isn’t afraid to share his love for Nicole, posting pictures and videos with her for every notable day, including International Women’s Day.

She said: ‘Now I have a new perspective and things balance out. And I’m really grateful to [in lockdown] build a healthy, strong, solid foundation to my relationship.’

Nicole called Thom the ‘king of working out’ and said he helps ‘motivate’ her as she exercises regularly for her mental health.

Lockdown meant public events were few and far between so the next time we see this gorgeous couple is at the amFAR Venice gala.

Thom wore a black patterned suit to complement Nicole’s black dress, living their power couple moment.

Equally smitten, Thom did an interview with , in which he revealed he thought he was ‘massively punching’.

Thom thought the Pussycat Doll was ‘out of [his] league’ but added that they instantly clicked.

‘People always say, “When you know, you know” and I can honestly say I’d never really had that moment. But within the first couple of days with Nicole it was just awesome and it has been awesome ever since,’ he confessed.

Nicole posted a sweet picture of them looking flawless, dressed up for ‘date night’ as the singer captioned the picture.

From here on out Nicole begins posting Thom more and more frequently, with the cute couple often filming playful videos together.

March begins a string of holidays for the couple with Nicole posting pictures of them in New Orleans, Hawaii and Coachella.

Then in April, Nicole wishes Thom a happy birthday calling him her ‘real-life Superman’.

She wrote: ‘Thank you for making me and this world so happy with your gorgeous light, love, talent and abs! And for being my real-life Superman! I love you very much ?.’

Days before her birthday, Thom popped the question while on holiday together.

The beachy proposal was met with a resolute ‘yes’ and the happiness was clear to see on Nicole’s face.
