is ‘putting it out there’ that she wants to record the next theme song.
Asked what her ideal gig would be, The Pussycat Dolls star said she would love to host a variety show that was inspired by a ‘modern-day version of Cher meets Bette Midler meets Shirley Bassey meets the Pussycat Dolls and Nicole Scherzinger.
‘And it makes complete sense,’ she added. ‘I come from cabaret theater, with grand vocals.
She then surprisingly chimed to magazine: ‘I am putting it out there that I want to do the next Bond theme song.’
The 43-year-old, who currently sits on the panel of theUS version of The Masked Singer, , has become known on Broadway for her strong vocal abilities having played the lead in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cats in 2015.
The star now plans to get the attention of 007 bosses, who have previously roped in the likes of music superstars Adele and  to record previous theme tunes, by throwing ‘intimate’ shows like the one she did in Los Angeles recently.
She hopes to remind the industry of her vocal range and musical theater background.
‘I was fortunate to do Annie [the musical’ Live on NBC and it reminded me of my love for musical theater,’ she added to
‘So many people don’t know I come from that theatrical space and sing Broadway, pop-rock and jazz .’
‘I threw an intimate showcase and I think I will do more because I want to share with the industry and remind them.
‘They associate me with the Pussycat Dolls and put me in that box… I can do more things.’
In the meantime, Nicole, who is by their founder Robin Antin since last year, is enjoying her time in sunny LA with boyfriend Thom Evans.
The pair met while Thom, a former Scottish rugby player, was a contestant on UK celebrity X Factor where Nicole sat as a judge in 2019.
The pair now live together in Los Angeles.
Speaking of their three-year romance, while at the DIRECTV SPACE activation at Neon Carnival on Saturday evening, she said: ‘It’s going great.
‘I am super stoked because his best friends growing up are in town, they have come with their wives for their first Coachella and first Neon Carnival.
‘Every day is a blessing.’
Nicole made a fashionable appearance at this weekend’s and grabbed the spotlight in a pair of tiny denim shorts a see-through leopard print top and a matching cover-up. Â
The singer paired the outfit with a pair of black leather boots and sunglasses.
She rubbed shoulders with a host of famous faces, including Reese Witherspoon’s daughter Ava Phillippe and British socialite, Poppy Delevingne.
