Earlier this year confirmed his sexuality to the world but telling co-star and friend proved ‘too hard’.
The 18-year-old was Millie on her loved-up engagement to Jake Bongiovi and the co-stars are clearly close.
Noah had a big announcement himself this year as he took to to share with fans that he ‘had a , his character on the show.
Speculation around Will’s sexuality had been a long discussion among fans and Noah’s journey happened to connect serendipitously with his character.
The young actor was the picture of joy as he as an out gay man in June.
However, telling his friend Millie wasn’t the easiest journey according to the star as he was desperate to tell her in person.
Their busy schedules meant it was nearly impossible to find time to speak together so Noah had to resort to an impromptu Facetime call.
‘I kept trying to do it in person with her, and it was too hard,’ he told .
‘So then I just FaceTimed her one day in the middle of a Party City and I was like, “Millie, I’m gay”.’
Party City is a popular American fancy dress store so probably not where Noah had expected to come out to his friend.
Despite the random Facetime venue, Millie immediately responded: ‘Oh, Schnapper! You told me finally!’
Millie has been super supportive along with the rest of the Stranger Things cast,with Noah confessing many of his friends and family already knew.
In his coming out video, Noah wrote: ‘When I finally told my friends and family I was gay after being scared in the closet for 18 years and all they said was “we know.”‘
While , the young actor still had fears about coming out to the world, closing his phone after posting the life-changing video.
‘When I opened my phone at the end of the car ride, it was, like, a thousand texts of hearts and congratulations and rainbow flags,’ he shared.
‘I was crying. I was like, “I made it. I’m done. I don’t have to worry”.’
