has found himself inover the years, but it’s one encounter with that he can’t quite get out of his mind.
Back in 2011, the TV presenter was a guest on when she after for her liking.
After he’d thrown a Punch and Judy doll off his desk, Lorraine made it clear she wouldn’t stand for Noel’s hissy fit and announced he’d be getting reprimanded for being a bad boy.
‘Right, that’s a spanking. That’s abuse, bend over. Very naughty,’ she declared before spanking him with a wooden paddle.
Now, more than a decade on, Noel’s made it clear the experience has stayed with him.
Ahead of the next season hitting screens, Noel’s been reflecting on his time on the long-running series, which he joined back in 2009.
Looking back at what happened with Lorraine, Noel, 50, revealed it came after he’d been parting a little too hard.
‘When I used to do it, I would get s***-faced before the show and take the guests out to the Groucho Club and it would end up really messy,’ he said.
‘Once, I hadn’t been to bed for a few days and when I came into the studio, Lorraine Kelly chased me around and spanked me over the desk with a wooden spoon.
‘At that point I didn’t know if I was dreaming or if that was real, but I knew I needed to go to bed.’
At the time Noel was visibly flustered, joking that he’d need to try to avoid saying ‘anything sexual’ to the TV presenter.
‘Do you think if you said that (something sexual) it’s like saying it to your mum? Is that what it is like talking to me about rude things?’ Lorraine questioned him.
Not missing his chance, the comedian replied: ‘You’re not like a mum, you’re fit.’
First airing on BBC Two in 1996, with radio DJ Mark Lamarr hosting the show with team captains Phill Jupitus and Sean Hughes, the upcoming 31st season will see Greg, Noel and fellow co-panellists Daisy May Cooper and Jamali Maddix bringing the banter each week.
Never Mind the Buzzcocks returns at 9pm on August 23 on Sky Max.
