Only Murders In The Building season two ended with an almighty bang as .
After eventually solving Tim Kono’s death in series one, Mabel Mora (Selena Gomez), Charles-Haden Savage (Steve Martin) and Oliver Putnam (Martin Short) scoured the Arconia for , and finally got to the bottom of the mystery in the finale, which has just landed on Hulu and +.
Despite all fingers pointing at Cinda Canning (Tina Fey), Polly White (Adina Verson) eventually confessed to the killing, with Detective Kreps (Michael Rapaport) helping her from underneath the glitter-covered hoodie.
However, it’s not All OK in NY as the episode ended with the gang once again connected to a brutal death – this time Paul Rudd got in on the action as Ben Glenroy, who abruptly died in highly unusual circumstances, teasing another spectacular murder mystery.
Will there be a third season of Only Murders In The Building?
Thankfully, there is no mystery or waiting game here as for our favorite podcasters-turned-murder-solvers before the second series had even finished airing.
The program’s official Twitter page announced that series three was on the way in July, with a typically cryptic post.
‘My neighbors have a special message for you all: #OnlyMurdersInTheBuilding will return for Season 3,’ the message read.
‘Now I just have to worry about who’s next… I hope it’s not me!’
The official plot and cast list have not been shared, with an air date yet to be announced.
But one A-Lister will definitely be in the mix as Paul Rudd made a very brief cameo at the end of the finale, before promptly dying.
Who will Paul Rudd play in Only Murders In The Building season 3?
OMITB have had some pretty iconic guest stars over the last two seasons, including Amy Schumer, Cara Delevingne and actual Sting playing himself – and Paul was confirmed to be joining the cast in spectacular fashion.
He made his debut as Ben Glenroy at the end of the episode, nabbing a starring role in Oliver’s new play with co-star Charles, but it was clear that the pair were not getting on.
Things took a very dramatic turn when he suddenly dropped dead as the curtain lifted, with countless question marks over who was responsible.
Series co-creator John Hoffman has now confirmed that Paul will be a prominent part of the upcoming episodes.
A statement shared with Variety read: ‘Paul Rudd, after making an auspicious entrance into the world of our show at the end of Season 2 as Ben Glenroy, is someone we clearly want to know more about and see in our upcoming Season 3 — as he is a clear source of many upcoming questions and, as ever with our show, many twists yet to come!’
We are ready!
