The tense new trailer for season four part two is finally here and we’re not ready to let the Byrds go.
Fans have been not-so-patiently waiting for ever since the first episodes dropped in January.
Thankfully, we only have a few weeks left to wait as it will be released on April 29.
The tense teaser begins with Marty Byrd (Jason Bateman) telling his wife, played by Laura Linney: ‘I’m just sick of having blood on my hands, Wendy.
‘It doesn’t bother you?’
In typical icy form, she replies: ‘You’re so desperate to be the good guy.’
The camera then pans to Ruth Langmore (Julia Garner) at a funeral, as Marty continues: ‘She’s lost her whole family because she met us.’
Having none of her husband’s compassion, Wendy spits back: ‘Don’t back out on me when we’re almost done. Don’t do that to me.’
Ruth is seen taking matters into her own hands after Wyatt’s death, and arms herself with a gun to extract revenge.
The trailer chillingly ends with the Byrd patriarch telling his wife, ‘we chose this together,’ as Ruth cocks a firearm.
But will she get the vengeance she is desperate for?
The official Netflix synopsis for the episodes reads: ‘Marty and Wendy are rid of Helen and climb to the top of Navarro’s empire.
‘They find another opportunity to get out of the Ozarks but some past sins won’t stay buried and the most dangerous threats come from blood.’
Executive producer Chris Mundy previously spilled the beans on what we can expect from the remaining episodes – and lifted the lid on why the final series was split in two.
‘We always thought five [seasons] was the outside number. It just felt like after that – we didn’t want to repeat ourselves, we didn’t want the show to feel like it was continuing because it was a TV show and it had to continue,’ he told the Wrap.
‘So really the decision has always been between is it four or is it five.
‘And then Netflix hit upon the idea of saying, “We’ll do four but we’ll make it long and split it in this way”, and that felt perfect.’
We have one month until the episodes premiere, meaning the countdown is officially on.
Ozark season 4 part 2 premieres on Netflix on April 29.
