has revealed that the recent death of her close friend has inspired her to live the rest of her life without using make-up.
The legendary, 56, became a household name worldwide for her long careers in fashion and TV, and her glamourous style.
But she’s now said that she prefers to go without make-up, and feels more comfortable when not donning her famous dark eye-shadow and pink lips.
In a brand new interview, has said the death of her close friend and make-up artist Alexis Vogel inspired her to go without from now on.
‘I just felt, without Alexis, it’s just better for me not to wear makeup,’ Pamela said of her friend, who died aged 61 in 2019 after a battle with breast cancer.
The pair became friends in the early 1990s when Pamela famously shot a cover for Playboy magazine, after which point they became frequent collaborators.
Speaking to , she described how she and Vogel developed her signature look, which made her one of the world’s biggest fashion icons for 20 years.
‘[I used to wear] makeup from the day before, and a little bit of glitter from two nights before,’ she said, adding that Alexis was simply ‘the best.’
‘I did notice that there were all these people doing big makeup looks, and it’s just like me to go against the grain and do the opposite what everyone’s doing.’
Vogel continued to work on make-up until her death in April 2019, posting new looks on Instagram – her account still has 11,000 followers as 2023.

The glamorous fashion event came just a month after she , Dan Hayhurst, after being married for just two years.
At the time, she expressed a desire to marry a sixth husband to TV talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, saying that she still has a lot of life left in her.
