While newborns are adorable, it’s no secret they can be exhausting, something Jeremy had apparently forgotten so says his pal Peter.
Peter, who shares children Junior, 18, and Princess, 16, with ex-wife as well as Amelia, nine, and Theo, six, with his wife Emily, opened up on the advice he offered Jeremy – as well as the one thing he told him to stock up on.
‘Congratulations to my good friend Jeremy Kyle on the arrival of his sixth child,’ he wrote in his weekly column for .
‘I caught up with him last week and he told me he forgot how exhausting having a newborn can be.
‘I just thought, “Oh no, I’ve got all of this coming very soon.” But, just like I told Jeremy, it is a true blessing having a child, and [it’s] nothing a strong coffee can’t fix.
‘He and his wife Vicky are such a lovely couple. I’m so happy for them.’
Iris is the second child Jeremy shares with wife Victoria, alongside their three-year-old son Oliver.
With his second wife Carla, Jeremy had three children – Alice, 19, Ava, 17, and Henry, 14. He became a father for the first time in 1990 with the arrival of his oldest daughter, Harriet, from his first marriage.
Announcing Iris’ birth, the Breakfast Show joked he will now be working until he is 80 and now has ‘another wedding to pay for’.
Jeremy was in good spirits when they revealed poking fun at and his many children.
When asked if he’d be looking to have more little ones, he said that ‘six is a great number.’
