Piers Morgan still dwelling on feud with GMB’s Alex Beresford: ‘He wanted his little YouTube moment of fame’

is still focused on his year-long feud with , claiming that the weatherman ‘wanted his little YouTube moment of fame’ when they had their headling-grabbing row.

Last March, Piers became embroiled in heated clash with Alex on Good Morning Britain over  and her televised interview with , resulting in the the presenter storming straight out of the ITV programme live on air.

Later that day, it was confirmed that the broadcaster had for good after six years, after tens of thousands of people complained about his remarks regarding the Duchess of Sussex.

Now, 13 months after his argument with Alex, Piers is still dwelling over the quarrel, using a recent interview as an opportunity to throw shade.

Speaking to about his ongoing feud with Alex, he said: ‘Apparently, he was heard out the back rehearsing his lines, clearly wanted to have his little YouTube moment of fame, and that’s fine.

‘I know he was planning a Hollywood career. I’m not quite sure how it’s going; I’ve not heard any updates.’

Before Piers exited the GMB set in the ITV studio, Alex had said to him: ‘I understand you’ve got a personal relationship with Meghan Markle, or had one, and she cut you off.

‘She’s entitled to cut you off if she wants to. Has she said anything about you since she cut you off? I don’t think she has but yet you continue to trash her.’

Recently, Piers poked fun at Will Smith’s Oscar Scan**l by  if he didn’t storm off the GMB set.

In what has been branded ‘ Will, 53, slapped Chris, 57, across the face, after the comedian made fun of Jada Pinkett Smith’s shaved head – and  the King Richard star.

Referencing his own viral dispute that sent shockwaves across the country, Piers retweeted a picture of him walking off in a huff, writing: ‘Ironically, I walked out to stop myself slapping him…’

The broadcaster, 57, is  on TalkTV on April 25, giving him a platform to share his views without a filter. 

However, he knows from past experience that won’t rub everyone up the right way – so heto it.

He tweeted: ‘To save time….’ along with short video clip of him pointing above his head, where the address for the TalkTV complaints department appeared.
