Police authorities believe that Bob Saget died after ‘hitting his head on a headboard in his hotel room’, it has been claimed.

According to , authorities investigating his death have suggested that he died after hitting his head on a headboard at the Ritz-Carlton hotel room he was staying in at the time.

In pictures obtained by the publication, the headboard is padded – but investigators said that there is a ‘hard surface underneath’, which they believe he hit his head on, causing a fatal brain bleed.

However, they added that they may never know exactly what caused his death.

In the weeks following the incident, medical experts expressed their scepticism about what led to his death.

His former Full House co-star Candace Cameron Bure also added that it ‘raised a lot of questions’. 

Saget’s loved ones were later granted a temporary injunction to block the release of the full autopsy results, which was made permanent on Monday.

The family’s attorney Brian Bieber released a statement to Fox News Digital confirming the news, and said: ‘The entire Saget family is grateful that the judge granted their request for an injunction to preserve Bob’s dignity, as well as their privacy rights, especially after suffering this unexpected and tragic loss. 

‘We are pleased this issue has been resolved, and the healing process can continue to move forward. All of the prayers and well wishes continuously extended to the family are beyond appreciated.’ 

The injunction prevents sensitive information concerning Saget’s death from being released to anyone but his wife and daughters. 

The court previously said that sharing such information would cause Saget’s family ‘severe mental pain, anguish, and emotional distress’.
