Pop group Lucius have said they feel ‘hurt’ after not being properly credited on one of ’ songs.

The LA band feature on Harry’s single Treat People With Kindness, from his award-winning 2019 album, Fine Line.

There’s no mistaking their high-pitched vocals in the song’s joyous chorus, however, they are credited in the liner notes but not as a featured artist.

As a result, the four-piece feel ‘disappointed’ to not be fully recognised.

The group say they had been in the studio with the Watermelon Sugar hitmaker, working on an entirely different song initially.

He later asked them to sing what would become the chorus on TPWK, which they happily agreed to do.

‘If it’s just “oohs” and “aaahs”, it’s not a big deal and it’s a good opportunity for us. But we started singing and we were singing the whole chorus,’ said Jess Wolfe in an interview with Los.

‘We thought he was gonna add on top after and that we’d be in the background,’ added Holly Laessig.

Two weeks later, the band were sent the track, only to hear it was ‘literally just us.’

‘We start the song, we sing every chorus, just us. We trade off the bridge. It is us and Harry Styles. Harry Styles and us.’

Yet they were not officially featured as an artist on the record, nor were they tagged on Spotify so the millions of listeners could check out their music.

The band went on to join Harry for a performance at The Forum following his album release, where they well and truly put on a glitzy show for thousands of adoring fans.

‘Here was an opportunity to spread the love a little bit, which he purports to do all the time. And it could’ve really helped us. I’ve been to Harry shows and he’s always been very charming and kind. We’ve sung live with him,’ they said.

The group also stressed in a chat with  this month, that ‘they didn’t want to credit us as being featured on the record.’

‘I say “they”, because we never spoke to Harry about this or anything,’ they said.

Despite performing live with the likes of Lizzo, Stevie Nicks and Kacey Musgraves, the former 1D star has never released a duet with another artist.

His upcoming third studio album, Harry’s House, also contains no features.

The star recently dropped the lead single from the album, , whichfor his album release on May 20.

Reps for Harry Styles have been contacted for comment.
