It’s been almost a year since passed away aged 99.
And his long life, devoted to supporting and British , is set to be remembered fondly at a Service of Thanksgiving held at Westminster Abbey.
The location will surely be held dear by The Queen, , as it is where Her Majesty married the Duke back in 1947.
It will also, no doubt, be a poignant way for the Duke’s loved ones to remember him – as only a limited number of mourners were able to attend his Windsor funeral .

The memorial Service of Thanksgiving will begin at 10.30am today (March 29), ending at 12.15pm.
It will take place at Westminster Abbey, located in the City of Westminster in the capital, London.

Prince Philip’s memorial will be aired live on BBC One from 10.30am, with the programme expected to last for one hour, 45 minutes.
Typically, programmes that air on BBC One can later be watched on BBC iPlayer – and it’s expected that the service will be available to catch up on, too.
