Perhaps one of the most promising things about the Games is how many games and developers weren’t featured, thereby proving that Microsoft has plenty left in reserve to reveal later.
Two of the most notable absences were studios id Software and MachineGames, neither of which has shown anything new for several years now.
Wolfenstein developer MachineGames is known to be working on an but that’s never shown beyond a brief teaser trailer. However, both studios have been connected with and now a second remaster has been revealed by the South Korean age rating board.

A subsequent rumour also suggested that the game in question was , although it didn’t indicate what it actually was.
Without further information it’s impossible to know exactly what’s going on but some kind of new Quake does seem well overdue, given the original was one of the first ever fully 3D first person shooters and a seminal release in terms of online multiplayer.
