Queen of Christmas is strong contender to replace Holly Willoughby on This Morning

has emerged as a surprise favourite to replace on This Morning.

Fans have already decided the Ted Lasso and Game of Thrones actress has as the Queen of , and now she could have her eyes on the daytime TV crown.

Holly, 42, ‘for me and my family’ last month after 14 years on the famous sofa, and now bosses are having to line up a replacement with the likes of in the running.

Now,  has revealed Hannah has entered the market to become the next permanent presenter on the show, with odds of 4/1.

‌‌The bookmaker her placed her third in the running joke behind Storm Huntley at 2/1, while This Morning and Bake Off star Alison is still favourite at 6/5.

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: ‘Hannah Waddingham is a surprise new addition to our market for who will replace Holly Willoughby as the next permanent This Morning host.

‘Having recently become the face of Marks and Spencer’s Christmas advert, coupled with her natural charisma, Waddingham would make a good candidate to replace Willoughby and is 4/1 to be awarded the role.’

As well as the M&S advert, she’s also appeared in one for Bailey’s, and later this month her Apple TV Plus special Home for Christmas will be released.

The latest odds put her just ahead of Holly’s former This Morning co-stars Josie Gibson (5/1) and Rochelle Humes (7/1), with David McCall (12/1), Denise van Outen (14/1) and Laura Whitmore (16/1) all following closely behind.

Holly was  from her co-stars after announcing her departure, including Josie, Alison and Dermot O’Leary.

She  on Instagram it was a ‘difficult goodbye’ but had made the decision for herself and her family.

Thanking her co-stars and viewers, she also wrote: ‘To everyone who has ever worked on the show over the years, thank you so so much.

‘This is such a difficult goodbye, you are incredible and I forever will be proud of what we’ve done together. Thank you to everyone at ITV for being supportive. To every guest who has sat on our sofa, thank you.

‘Most of all, thank you to the wonderful viewers. You’ve been so loyal, so supportive and the very best company every day.’

As well as Holly, This Morning producers are also on the hunt for a replacement for Phillip Schofield, 61, who quit the show after admitting to lying about an affair with a runner.
