Real Housewives of Cheshire star Dawn Ward has been cleared of hurling racist abuse at two Jewish brothers.
The 48-year-old star – who is married to former Premier League football Ashley Ward – towards Jake and Sam Jacobs at Euston station in London after a night out.
She allegedly yelled: ‘You Jewish c***. Why are you people always complaining? You fat p***k.’
On Friday, Ward – who was allegedly found with cocaine in a cigarette packet – was cleared of racially aggravated intentional harassment and possession of cocaine.
Hearing the verdict, she broke down in tears and told the jury: ‘Thank you so much.’
The court heard how Ward was ‘drinking heavily’ on October 29, 2019 when the alleged attack took place, with both siblings asking why the trains had been delayed.
It’s said she approached them and asked: ‘Why do you lot always complain?’
Prosecutor Gregory Wedge said: ‘At the time you might think why, but she was we now know was referring to their Jewish faith.
‘They pretty much ignored it, but the altercation became violent, she became violent and called Jake a fat c*** and a Jewish p***k or words to that effect.
‘During this argument or heated conversation, she slaps Jake Jacobs across the face. Both of them were upset by this incident and called the police and they subsequently arrested Mrs Ward.’
Ward claimed the conversation was ‘friendly’ and described the slap as a ‘playful tap on the face’, and denied accusations of using ‘racially aggravated words’.
She insisted she didn’t know the brothers – and Sam’s partner Samantha Eisner – were Jewish.
Jake told the court: ‘She didn’t want to go away; she was attached to staying near us. She was being quite scary and abusive, I just felt I had a long day at work.’
Speaking to The Sun after being cleared, Ward described the allegations as ‘horrific’.
‘This has been the most horrific situation I’ve ever been in. I’m so relieved it’s over. It’s been three years of absolute hell for my whole family,’ she said.
‘This was a very serious charge, but racism and drugs are two things I’m completely against.
‘I’m eternally grateful to the jury that after a week of hearing everything, they knew I was telling the truth.’
