Rose Ayling-Ellis ‘could be awarded MBE’ in Queen’s birthday honours list following Strictly Come Dancing success

will reportedly be honoured by Her Majesty after representing the Deaf community during her stint on .

Last year, the EastEnders actress, 27, wowed the nation on the BBC competition series, when she and her partner waltzed their way to the Glitterball trophy.

While they delivered several memorable routines on the show, one stood out in particular, when in the middle of their Couple’s Choice routine to Clean Bandit’s Symphony,  in celebration of the Deaf community.

claims that the star is in ‘the frame for a gong’ after her groundbreaking performance ‘sent enrolments for sign-language courses soaring.’

‘Not only did she raise awareness about the challenges deaf people face, she was a true inspiration for them – particularly young people. She really did break down boundaries,’ a source told the publication.

And the recognition hasn’t stopped there, as Rose also expressed her excitement over  at the upcoming Bafta TV Awards.

Last month Rose was among the recipients, receiving the ‘inspirational person of the year’ accolade from The Apprentice winner Tim Campbell at the Visionary Honours Awards, after she campaigned for .

After reigning supreme once again on the first night of the Strictly tour, Rose and Giovanni recreated their waltz to Ellie Goulding’s ‘How Long Will I Love You?’ in this year’s Comic Relief.

Strictly Come Dancing is set to make a grand comeback later this year, as earlier in the week.

After noticing Anton Du Beke’s name was missing, alongside Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas and Motsi Mabuse.
