Sharing an image of the remaining six bandmembers – Tina Barrett, Jon Lee, Bradley McIntosh, , , and Rachel Stevens – the pictured showed the band walking along a beach.
The shot from the group’s early days was posted and fans admitted they felt uneasy at the accidental foreshadowing.
Underneath the image that had the caption: ‘Hope you’re all having a great start to the week’, followers exclaimed how ‘weird’ it was that the missing member was Cattermole.
One penned: ‘So weird that this only has the 6 of them in [sic],’ while another said: ‘it’s like them waving goodbye to Paul one last time.. [sic]’.
‘I always miss Paul in that picture, Was He recording in another location in the Christmas special? [sic],’ a fan questioned on Instagram.
A follower also shared: ‘Sorry for your loss :-( he will be missed! Was looking forward to seeing you all back together! X [sic]’.
Cattermole, 46, was found dead last Thursday afternoon at his home in Dorset.
It came shortly after S Club 7 announced anwhich Cattermole was due to take part in.
In a statement last week, Cattermole’s family and the band said the singer’s cause of death was currently unknown but police had confirmed there were ‘no suspicious circumstances’.
Sharing a photo of Cattermole on Instagram, fellow band member Jo, 43, wrote: ‘I just wanted to reach out and thank everybody from the bottom of my heart for the love and kindness you have shown over the tragic passing of our sweetest soul Paul.
‘This has been utterly devastating, and I am totally shocked and heartbroken. We have lost someone so incredibly special to us all, and there is a huge sense of sadness that will never go.
‘Paul will forever be a huge part of our lives, and I will forever treasure the memories we made! I will love you always Paul, God bless you my darling, Rest in forever Peace. Love JoJo’.
S Club’s reunion tour is set to take place in October of this year.
