was the definition of radiant as she hit the red carpet beside husband , to celebrate the opening night of their play, Plaza Suite.

It was a long time coming for the couple, who were initially set to appear on stage in the production in 2020, before the pandemic hit.

And the star, 57, and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off actor, 60, were joined on their big night by their three children, James, Marion and Tabitha, for a rare family outing in New York.

Sarah Jessica was glowing as she posed in a stunning, floor-length bejewelled pink gown, which she paired with silver shoes.

She whipped us all into a frenzy beforehand, teasing a snap of the intricate outfit from the back.

‘Just wait until you see the front. No words right now,’ she told fans ahead of her appearance.

‘I’m sure they’ll come later. See you in Suite 719. X, SJ.’

Matthew went a little more low-key for the bash, donning a black suit and patterned tie as he posed proudly beside his wife.

It marked a big evening for the pair as they finally put on Plaza Suite after a lengthy delay.

Neil Simon’s play Plaza Suite, held at the Hudson Theatre, sees Matthew and Sarah Jessica play three different couples who are staying at the iconic hotel.

It is directed by John Benjamin Hickey, and is running until June 26.

The production is the first time they have shared the stage since 1996, in How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying.

‘We’re overjoyed to finally be able to welcome Broadway audiences to the Hudson Theatre to see Neil Simon’s celebration of New York, New Yorkers, and the wonderful ways they fall in love,’ Matthew and Sarah Jessica said in a statement.

‘We simply can’t wait.’

Meanwhile, we’ll be seeing the Carrie Bradshaw legend back on our screens very soon after it was revealed that Sex and the City spin-off And Just Like That .

The controversial reboot ended with her character revamping her image after a tough few months – following Big’s death.

In a statement over the show’s renewal, creator Michael Patrick King  said: ‘I am delighted and excited to tell more stories about these vibrant, bold characters – played by these powerful, amazing actors.

‘The fact is, we’re all thrilled. And Just Like That… our Sex life is back.’

HBO’s Head of Original Content, Sarah Aubrey added: ‘We have been delighted by the cultural conversation generated by these characters and their stories, set in a world we already know and love so much.

‘We can’t wait for fans to see what’s in store for season two!’
