Saturday Night Live star Chris Redd is recovering after being attacked outside a New York City comedy club last week.
The 37-year-old comedian, who appeared on the US sketch show for six years, was punched by an assailant wearing a knuckleduster outside the Comedy Cellar venue in Manhattan on Wednesday, October 26.
It’s been reported that Redd suffered two black eyes and a broken nose in the attack, but is now on the mend and has promised fans he’ll be back in action soon.
According to TMZ, Redd was heading to the club to perform a 15-minute set when a man approached him and punched him in the face before running off.
