revealed that his confessions during counselling sessions with his left their therapists stunned.

The 63-year-old judge and his partner Lauren, 46, have been in a relationship for over 10 years and share a son with one another – 

Explaining that he struggled with his during the pandemic, the star opened up about the couple’s relationship and said they started attending therapy together.

The star shared insight into his romantic life while he was being interviewed by his former flame  presenter Terri Seymour at his Malibu home. 

Having dated the broadcaster from 2002 to 2008, he explained to his ex how therapy had created a healthier relationship between himself and Lauren. 

He explained: ‘It has been good for both of us. In fact, we did do this thing where both of us go in…

‘There was one point when we were together and I looked at the two therapists and their faces were like… and when we got out, we both cracked up and said, “God, what must they be thinking?”

‘Then I spoke to my therapist afterward and he said, “Honestly, Simon, that was nothing,” but it is healthy to go somewhere and let it all out.’

Simon reflected on his mental health and admitted he wished he had opened up to a therapist a lot sooner than he did. 

He shared: ‘I should have done it years ago, I think 20/25 years ago. If you have a family and working, everyone gets stressed. 

‘The idea you bottle everything up, you really have to talk about it.’

Simon revealed: ‘I did it because I think there’s a lot of people like myself who I certainly used to be this way embarrassed about saying, “I need to see a therapist”, or “I’m feeling vulnerable, or I’m feeling this and that”.

‘And because I felt that way and then I decided to go and see a therapist and I felt the difference afterwards, I thought, well, if it helped me so much, then I want to say to a lot of people, don’t be afraid of it.’
