Now the Level Up musician has shared the news that their daughter has arrived safely, and revealed the newborn’s unique name.
Taking to Instagram, Ciara and Russell, 35, posted a joint statement with photographs of their new arrival dressed in an all-black babygro and a hat bearing her name.
They wrote: ‘Amora Princess Wilson.
‘9lb 1oz. We Love You so much!’
Fans and friends were quick to congratulate the new parents, with Russel’s NFL team Denver Broncos writing ‘congratulations! #FootballIsFamily.’
Busta Rhymes, Nene Leakes and Jennifer Hudson were among the famous faces sharing words of congratulations, with Janelle Monae writing: ‘The cheeks! A doll. Congratulations!’
Ciara announced the news she was expecting a baby earlier this year with a sweet post on Instagram, with a video showing the star posing by a pool before turning to the side and revealing a baby bump which she lovingly cradled.
In a caption, she wrote: ‘You look at me like that again, we make another kid… You my heart I’m your rib.’
Ciara and NFL icon Russell started dating at the beginning of 2015 and announced their engagement the following year.
They tied the knot in July, 2016, in a luxury ceremony in the UK, and went on to welcome their first child together, daughter Sienna, in 2017.
The couple added to their brood in 2020, introducing son Win into the fold; Ciara is also mum to son Future Zahir with former partner, rapper Future.
