A actress has split from her actor husband after an eight-year marriage.
, 31, who shot to fame after on the teen drama, has separated from actor Benjamin Walker, 41.
Their break-up was announced in a joint statement in which the former couple said they will ‘continue to co-parent lovingly’ their two children: a and a son, seven.
It has been claimed that the Maze Runner actress and Benjamin secretly split last year but have remained ‘the best of friends’ ever since.
‘Some time ago Kaya and Ben made the joint decision to end their marriage but continue to co-parent lovingly whilst remaining the best of friends,’ their reps said in a joint statement.
They continued to : ‘They ask that their privacy as well as that of their children’s remain respected as they continue to move forward as a family.’
The split announcement comes as Kaya went on holiday this week to the Maldives with two friends and published a glorious snap of their vacation on Instagram.
Sharing a picture of themselves at a luxury resort, she captioned the post: ‘Feeling so lucky to go through life with these amazing friends. Normalise going to “romantic: locations with your mates instead…’
The Pirates of the Caribbean actress and the Jessica Jones star started dating during the filming of The King’s Daughter in early 2014, got engaged a few months later, and then married the following year.
‘We were originally friends, then after two months of shooting, we both said, ”Ok, I really like you”,’ she previously told InStyle magazine.
Their introduction came shortly after Benjamin was granted a divorce from his first wife, Meryl Streep’s 40-year-old actress daughter Mamie Gummer.
Kaya, meanwhile, dated her Skins co-star Jack O’Connell, who played James Cook, for about a year before they split up in June 2009.
She was also previously in a relationship with Shameless actor Elliott Tittensor.
Since her starring role on Skins, Kaya went on to appear in productions including Wuthering Heights and Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile.
Kaya is next set to be on screens in Guy Ritchie’s Netflix series The Gentlemen, which will premiere in March and also stars Ray Winstone and The White Lotus actor Theo James.
