Kelly Kay, the girlfriend of late athlete Spencer Webb, has given birth to a baby boy eight months after his death.
The college athlete and Oregon Ducks tight end died last July at the age of 22, following a cliff-diving accident.
In the wake of the tragedy, together, and has now welcomed a son.
Taking to Instagram, the new mom posted the first photos of their little one, revealing how.
Alongside the snaps, which showed her cradling the newborn on her chest while covered in an Oregon Ducks blanket, she simply penned: ‘Spider Webb ?️?️ 3/30/23.’
Fans were quick to flood the model’s comments with congratulatory messages and support over her new arrival.
‘Oh Kelly!! Congrats on your Angel baby,’ a follower wrote.
‘This is amazing! Wishing you both so much health and happiness,’ another agreed.
One said: ‘Sweet sweet sweet perfect name for a perfect baby.’
‘Congratulations!! May your lives be filled with health and wealth and endless love, wishing you abundance and happiness,’ an Instagram user said.
As a commenter added: ‘Being a momma looks so beautiful on you.’
Webb died after a cliff-diving accident last summer, the Lane County Sheriff’s Office confirmed in a statement.
Shortly after, Kay revealed she was pregnant with their first child, posting a photo of a sign which read: ‘Coming soon. Baby Webb.’
‘We created an angel before heaven gained one. All you ever wanted was to be a father…I know you’ll be the best one from up above,’ she penned at the time.
‘Can’t believe I have to do it without you but knowing I’ll have a piece of you keeps me going.
‘I can’t wait to meet the person that’s half you, half me. I love you forever, both of you.’
Shortly after, Kay announced that she was set to welcome a baby boy, adding: ‘I know you picked him out to protect me. He’s gonna be a legend just like his daddy [sic].’
