and Ambika Mod play Dexter Mayhew and Emma Morley who meet properly for the first time on their graduation evening and spend a memorable few hours together before heading off for their very different plans the following morning.
In the 14 episodes, we catch up with the pair on the exact same day (July 15) every year to see how they fit into each other’s lives, as they navigate adulthood. It’s an emotional ride, as the pair experience heartbreak, joy, and milestone moments while growing both apart and together.
The series is based on David Nicholls’ worldwide bestselling novel and has already been given the movie treatment, in which Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess took on the lead roles. This time we get to spend many more hours with the characters and we appreciate every second.

Who is Leo Woodall’s girlfriend?
Some of the luckiest actors in the land got to fly off to Italy to film White Lotus’ second series, which aired in 2022. This included Leo and The Bold Type’s Meghann Fahy, and although their characters were not connected aside from staying at the same hotel, they enjoyed spending time together when the cameras went down.
They both documented their Sicily adventures on Instagram, which allowed us to see just how much fun they had eating, drinking and dancing around the island.
In one photo Leo has his finger in the mouth of Meghann, 33 and the caption for the gallery post read ‘That’s Amore’. Meghann commented ‘I love you! I love these! I love you! 😘♥️’ to which he replied, ‘Love you right back.’
Meghann returned the favour by posting a cosy selfie of the pair.
Of course, these hints led to speculation they were more than co-stars, and Andy Cohen questioned Meghann on Watch What Happens Live.
‘Oh, I don’t kiss and tell! Come on, guys!’ she shared.
Last July (not the 15th FYI), they happily posed together at the South Bank Sky Arts Awards, and in November they were spotted kissing under a shared umbrella in New York (that is so rom-com coded).
‘Now that they’ve been dating, they’ve really started to fall in love and are very happy to let anyone know how they feel around each other,’ a source told the ‘They are definitely in the shout it out on the rooftops phase of their relationship and love seeing what the next day brings, they really make each other smile.’
The pair spent New Year’s Eve together with a group of their pals, and Leo shared a video of their trip to the countryside and wrote: ‘Ended 2023 with my favourite people.’ Meghann responded: ‘Best best best’. Adorable!
Leo Woodall’s movies and TV shows beyond One Day
As previously mentioned Leo was in the Emmy-Award-winning White Lotus as Essex cheeky chap Jack who gave us one of the most shocking moments of the entire thing.
In a mid-series twist, Jack has sexual intercourse with his ‘uncle’ Quentin (Tom Hollander), which unbeknownst to them, is witnessed by Jennifer Coolidge’s Tanya.
Even Leo was pretty shocked – ‘When I found out I was doing it, I couldn’t speak for ten seconds then I thought, “That’s such a brilliant moment,”‘ he told .
Londoner Leo hails from a family of actors (he claims to be a descendent of Maxine Elliott, and his dad, Solo: A Star Wars Story actor Andrew Woodall, even met his mum at drama school), but that’s not the reason he pursued the trade – we’ve instead got to thank for his choice of occupation.
He thought he’d be a PE teacher or stuntman until he was 19 and watching an episode of the popular -led show.
