star has opened up on a secret date he went on with NSYNC star Lance Bass – which involved a fairly surprising celebrity guest.
The singer, 46, with the British pop group, alongside Lee Latchford-Evans, , Lisa Scott-Lee and Faye Tozer.
Meanwhile Lance, 43, clinched international fame with , Joey Fatone, JC Chasez and Chris Kirkpatrick when his boyband was formed in 1995.
H has now revealed that he and Lance went on a secret date many years ago, with the Steps star bringing along his bandmate Faye as a ‘wingman.’
However as the group hit the club, they were joined by another surprise guest – Baywatch legend David Hasselhoff.
Oh, and his children.
Speaking on BBC Radio 2’s Sounds Of The 90s with Fearne Cotton, which is due to air on Saturday night, H revealed he ‘went on a little bit of a date’ with Lance.
He added that he has ‘never really said this out loud.’
H explained: ‘When we were out, Lance invited David Hasselhoff out, and his children.’
He said David ‘let his children sleep on the nightclub benches while we all partied away.’
Presenter Fearne laughed that this was ‘very nineties parenting,’ adding it sounded like ‘the best night out ever.’
Shockingly, H and Lance didn’t end up together after the wild – but entertaining – date, with the Steps star going on to have a long-term relationship with Craig Ryder.
The couple have two children together, twin sons Macsen and Cybi, who were born via surrogate.
Craig and H have since gone their separate ways but continue to co-parent their children.
Meanwhile, Lance is married to actor and visual artist Michael Turchin
and the couple welcomed twins Alexander and Violet in 2021.
The secret date revelation comes shortly after former Steps star Lisa admits the band were ‘miffed’ at H for once shunning their tour bus to fly on Britney Spears’ private jet.
Steps supported Britney on a massive US and Canada tour, which Lisa said was a definite career highlight for them.
However H struggled with insomnia at the time and refused to sleep on the bus with his band mates, which proved to be a source of contention.Â
‘H isn’t the best sleeper so because of that he ended up traveling on [Britney’s] private jet, as you do,’ she told Metro.co.uk.
‘But we were very jealous miffed and it’s still a sore subject!’Â
Sounds Of The 90s airs on BBC Radio 2 Saturday at 10pm, listen back on BBC Sounds.
