dropped ahead of Netflix’s highly-anticipated season 4 release, and in one of the pictures, fans believe Joyce Byers () and Jim Hopper () will reunite.

Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and Will (Noah Schnapp) have left Hawkins, Indiana, and will be navigating their way through high school in the upcoming chapter.

But they will once more alongside Mike, (Finn Wolfhard) Max (Sadie Sink), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), and Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo).

The season after sacrificing himself so Joyce could close the gate between the Upside Down and the real world.

However, viewers were ecstatic to see something romantic brewing between the pair, , everyone is rooting for the couple to get together. Finally!

One fan enthusiastically shared a picture of the Black Widow actor in character intensely staring at Joyce, and tweeted: ‘THEY’RE LOOKING AT EACH OTHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!’

While another added: ‘These pictures have got me thinking about Joyce and Hopper’s reunion again. I just hope it’s everything I’ve built it up as in my head. Also so excited for El and Hopper’s reunion!’

Fans were treated to the Stranger Things season four episode titles in November 2021, but the plot still remains a mystery.

The official synopsis reads: ‘It’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins.

‘Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for the first time – and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier.

The supernatural hit will be released in two instalments, the first being dropped on May 27.

Writers Matt and Ross Duffer hailed the series as the most ‘challenging’ yet ‘rewarding.’

In an open letter to fans, they wrote: ‘With nine scripts, over 800 pages and almost two years of filming, thousands of visual effects shots, and a runtime nearly twice the length of any previous season, Stranger Things 4 was the most challenging season yet, but also the most rewarding one.

‘Everyone involved is incredibly proud of the results, and we can’t wait to share it with you.’

Stranger Things season four, volume one will drop on Netflix on May 27.
