Max Mayfield (Sadie Sink) begins by sitting at Billy’s (Dacre Montgomery) gravestone, warning it will be ‘impossible’ for things to go back to normal.

She says: ‘Dear Billy, I don’t know if you can even hear this, every since you left everything’s been a total disaster. For a while we tried to be happy, and normal.

‘I know that’s impossible.’
