season 4 has brought the highly anticipated return to the after being away from our screens for nearly three years.
After months of the cast after the shock end of season three, fans can now dive in to the first batch of episodes ins season 4 volume 1,
The new series has seen the return of Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Will (Noah Schnapp), Joyce (Winona Ryder), Hopper () and the rest of the much-loved characters, but there are also some other unfamiliar faces on the scene.
Among the newcomers is Eleven’s school enemy, Angela, who goes about her day trying to embarrass and bully Eleven (going by the name Jane) at every moment she can.
It all begins with Angela disrupting Eleven’s assignment on Hopper, who she presents to the class as her father, but Angela interjects to state that they were meant to have looked into a real historical figure, not a family member.
From then on, Angela and her group of friends continue to bully and torment Eleven, making her their nemesis, and even tripping Eleven up causing her to destroy her diorama.
At a skating rink with Mike and Will, Eleven was left embarrassed when one of Angela’s sidekicks threw a milkshake all over her, before Eleven somewhat got her own back and smacked Angela in the middle of her face with a roller skate, leaving her bleeding and hysterically crying.
But who is Angela played by?
Angela is played by Elodie Grace Orkin, who you may recognise from elsewhere.
Elodie began her acting career back in 2018 when she starred as a child singer on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
After that, she went on to play Kyle in the 2020 TV series Stage Fright with the likes of Pressley Hosbach and Sophie Michelle, and Elodie has also featured in drama series We Hunt Together.
Most recently, Angela starred in 2021 movie Saving Paradise, before her Stranger Things debut.
Along with Angela, the Hawkins kids have managed to drag some more unsuspecting people into their dark world, including basketball star Patrick (Myles Truitt), band nerd Vickie (Amybeth McNulty) and guidance counselor Ms. Kelly (Regina Ting Chen).
Grace Van Dien, daughter of Starship Troopers actor Casper Van Dien – also joins as teenage cheerleader Chrissy, as does Teen Wolf star Mason Dye, as basketball team captain Jason Carver.
Elsewhere, the new season sees Mike and Dustin discover other Dungeons & Dragons fans who call themselves The Hellfire Club, led by high school senior Eddie Munson.
Eddie is played by actor Joseph Quinn, who previously held a small part in Game of Thrones, and is joined by fellow GoT co-star Tom Wlaschiha, who plays to send a secret message to Joyce informing her that Hopper is still alive.
Stranger Things season 4 volume 1 is available to watch on Netflix, with volume 2 dropping on July 1.
