Strictly Come Dancing’s Neil Jones denies ‘complaining’ about Giovanni Pernice following ‘rift’ rumours

’s has rubbished claims of a feud between him and fellow co-star .

Recent reports claimed that the 39-year-old professional ‘spent a lot of time b****ing about the other dancers’, behind the scenes and would often ‘comment’ on Giovanni’s appearance.

A friend of Neil’s former flame Sophie Lily Kerr claimed that the Strictly community was ‘a bit like a cult’.

‘The dancers all love each other when they are together and hate each other when they are apart,’ they said.

She continued to : ‘Neil would comment on what he [Giovanni] was wearing and what he spent his money on.’

However, a spokesperson for the star told Metro.co.uk: ‘With regards to Giovanni he only has the utmost respect and love for his fellow strictly professional and friend, the two of them will no doubt laugh about this ridiculous story.’

It was recently reported that Neil was moving his new girlfriend, former Miss Romania Sienna Hollen, .

However, the dancer’s rep also confirmed that ‘Neil is still very much happily single, contrary to recent inaccurate reports.’

Neil and Giovanni will be returning to the Strictly dance floor for another series this year alongside show regulars Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova, Graziano Di Prima, Amy Dowden, Karen Hauer, , Nikita Kuzmin, Gorka Marquez, , Kai Widdrington, Luba Mushtuk, and Nancy Xu.

While fans will be introduced to newbies Cameron Lombard and Jowita Przystal – who both made their debut in 2021.

There has been much speculation over whether Anton Du Beke will join Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Shirley Ballas as a judge, having taken Bruno Tonioli’s place in 2021 as a result of Covid-19 travel restrictions.

However, Craig hinted that there could bethis year.

Following the claims made by Craig that Anton could be back, Metro.co.uk was of the understanding that the judging line-up was yet to be decided by the BBC.
