Following last year’s series of the BBC competition, rumours emerged in January that sparks had flown between Nadiya, 32, and Kai, 26.
Despite many fans of the show placing their bets on Kai falling for , in April this year, Nadiya finally , saying how ‘relaxed’ she felt around him.
On Wednesday evening, the Burn the Floor reunion tour began in Shrewsbury, with the event featuring Strictly favourites including the likes of Aljaž Škorjanec, Kevin Clifton, Janette Manrara, Karen Hauer and Dianne Buswell.
In a post shared on her Instagram Story, Nadiya celebrated her boyfriend’s opening night, sharing a picture of him kissing her on the cheek as she gripped onto his jacket, beaming from ear to ear.
‘What an opening night. The proudest girlfriend,’ she said, alongside a white heart emoji.
Kai responded by resharing her post on his own Story, writing: ‘My baby.’

In April, Nadiya confirmed that she and Kai had been , adding that they’d had ‘very little free time’ while rehearsing for the Strictly Professionals tour.
‘But we’re getting to know more and more about each other day by day. He’s kind and compassionate and makes me laugh. I feel very relaxed with him,’ she told the .
Nadiya was previously engaged to Slovenian footballer Matija Škarabot, with whom she shares a young daughter, with it being this year.
In June this year, AJ addressed the ongoing speculation during last year’s series of Strictly over whether she and Kai were dating.
‘I found it easy not to be distracted. I was working so hard and was so focussed on my performances each week,’ she told .
‘It is hard when you’re receiving a lot of attention and are constantly asked the same questions but honestly, Kai and myself were so focused and we just wanted it to be the best experience it could be.’
