It isn’t often we see tears from – well, actually, have we ever seen tears from him?
The judge is typically stoic and we rarely get any kind of emotional commentary from him.
But it seems something was in the air during this year’s grand final, as our stony-faced resident Mr Nasty actually turned on the waterworks!
Following ’s show dance, Craig was all choked up as he reflected on the series and how far Strictly has come since it burst onto our screens in 2004.
In his feedback, Craig noted how it was ‘a terrible shame’ how Ellie and partner Vito Coppola’s end lift didn’t quite go to plan.
However, he was still full of praise for their JLo medley.
‘That whole dance routine was just flawless up until that moment,’ he said.
‘That’s the beauty about live television, I think, and proving that taking a risk can or can’t work out for you.
‘I’m so pleased that you did take a risk.’
Getting all nostalgic, Craig added: ‘I think back to series 1 and I was imagining Natasha Kaplinsky doing that, you know.
‘How far this programme has come…
‘You’re amazing, amazing.’
Fellow judge Motsi Mabuse then reached out to comfort Craig, rubbing his shoulder as he struggled to speak.
Reacting to the emotional moment, X users were stunned to see Craig showing that, contrary to popular belief, he does, indeed, have a heart!
