Taking to Instagram on New Year’s Eve after a rough 2023, Karen reflected on ‘trauma’.
She shared a poem to her 316,000 followers with the caption: ‘2024 Moving Forward …. 🌪️’
‘I thought the trauma had broken me, but really it gave my life direction,’ the poem began.
It continued: ‘The toxicity made me embrace communication and honesty.
‘The manipulation made me realign with my own power.
‘The narcissism showed me that selflessness is needed.
‘The chaos taught me to build boundaries.
‘The hurt showed me that healing and rebirth are possible.’
Karen accompanied the post with a wholesome snap of her out for a country walk, donning a puffer coat and hiking boots as she smiled in front of the picturesque background.
In the comments, the dancer – who was paired with comedian Eddie Kadi in 2023’s Strictly – was inundated with messages of support from her fellow stars.

Her post comes after Jordan shared how ‘incredibly sad’ he feels after their split.
Speaking to , Jordan, 34, shared how hard it was for him and Karen to be apart as she trained for the BBC dance show and travelled for the tour.
‘It’s a bit of a love story, a sad story,’ he said. ‘I’m incredibly sad not to be in Karen’s life, and not be on this journey with her but we’re not right for each other in terms of her career.
‘I will always admire her for her career but it took her away from me a lot. She’d be away and I’d be at home on my own.’
Jordan – who wed Karen in a dreamy ceremony in the New Forest – added that there were ‘tears on both sides’ when he and Karen accepted that their marriage was over.
He also admitted that he would’ve ‘ended up resenting’ Karen if they had stayed together and not had children.
