Sydney Sweeney’s grandparents had a surprising reaction to the star’s nudity in one particularly NSFW scene of the hit series.
The 24-year-old’s older relatives went to the season two premiere of the teen drama, which featured shots of the actress, , in the buff.
Speaking candidly on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Thursday, Sydney revealed that before inviting her family ‘she didn’t really think about [the nudity].’
Ellen, 64, could barely conceal her shock that The White Lotus actress forgot this detail, saying: ‘What were you thinking?’
But Sydney, who added that the screening was aired on a ‘ginormous screen’, responded coolly: ‘They told me I have the best t*ts in Hollywood.’
The star has previously slammed what she calls a ‘double standard’ when it comes to women filming nude scenes, telling Cosmopolitan that male actors who appear n**ed.n**ed on screen ‘win Oscars and get praised for that work.’
Sydney, Jonathan Davino, added: ‘But the moment a woman does it, it degrades them. There’s such a double standard and I really hope I can have a little part in changing that.’
Season two of Euphoria, which was created by Sam Levinson, the son of Oscar winning Rain Man director Barry Levinson, premiered worldwide in January and finished in February.
A third season of the series, which has won global acclaim for its portrayal of teenage life, has been ordered by HBO, with an air date not yet decided.
But fans may have to be patient for the new series as it was exclusively revealed by that it has not been penned yet.
Euphoria cinematographer Marcell Rev told us last month that production hadn’t started, adding: ‘They have to write season three first. Sam [Levinson] has to come up with something, then write it and then we have something to prep.’
As well as Sydney, Euphoria stars a host of young talent, including Zendaya, Maude Apatow, Hunter Schafer and Jacob Elordi.
