The Everytime hitmaker, 41, has penned her truth in a new bombshell book, The Woman in Me, that’s set to be released tomorrow, October 24 – but leaks have come thick and fast in recent weeks, and it appears the singer isn’t holding back on never-before-heard details of her life in the spotlight.
While Britney’s life – from her public breakdown to her 13-year conservatorship, and high-profile relationship with – has been extensively covered and speculated about in the media, she’s rarely given her side of the story.
The Gimme More singer previously said she had ‘a lot of therapy’ to help get the book done and hoped fans would like it.
US outlet Page Six has reported the deal with Simon & Schuster was said to be worth as much as $15 million (£11 million).
The book’s announcement video read: ‘It’s coming, my story, on my terms, at last. Are you ready?’
But since the leaks – which – Britney has seemingly not been happy with the extensive coverage about it.
‘I don’t like the headlines I am reading,’ she said in a social media post. ‘That’s exactly why I quit the business 4 years ago.’
She went on to explain how, on writing the book, she didn’t mean to ‘offend anyone,’ but the process has given her ‘closure.’

Britney described the she suffered at home with during their relationship.
The pair began dating in 1999, when Britney was just 17, although they had initially met on the set of Mickey Mouse’s Clubhouse .
In her memoir, Britney said that she had fallen pregnant in 2000 but agreed as they were ‘too young’.

In an extract obtained by , the former couple made a pact to keep the termination a secret, and decided to have an abortion at home.
She reportedly described the procedure as ‘excruciating’, explaining that it took ‘hours’.
‘It was important that no one find out about the pregnancy or the abortion, which meant doing everything at home,’ she said, via the outlet.
‘I kept crying and sobbing until it was all over. It took hours, and I don’t remember how it ended, but I do, twenty years later, remember the pain of it, and the fear.’
According to , Britney said Justin began ‘strumming the guitar’ as he ‘thought maybe music would help’ ease her pain during the procedure.
Since the book extract appeared in , fans have been speculating that may be a nod to her abortion.

Britney has claimed that Justin cheated on her with another nameless celebrity during their early 2000s relationship, according to .

‘After being held down on a gurney, I knew they could restrain my body any time they wanted to. They could’ve tried to kill me, I thought. I started to wonder if they did want to kill me,’ she continued.
The Baby One More Time singer went on to claim that when her father took control of her life, she experienced a sense of her spirit leaving her physical body.
‘I didn’t see a way out,’ she wrote.
As per People, Britney said she was deemed ‘too sick to choose my own boyfriend and yet somehow healthy enough to appear on sitcoms and morning shows, and to perform for thousands of people in a different part of the world every week.’
