winner  has quit her dessert company Oh So Yum which received a huge cash injection from Lord .

Harpreet, 33, won the 2022 series of The Apprentice, and the prize was a hefty £250,000 investment and the chance .

However, over a year after the entrepreneur and Lord Sugar, 77, , Harpreet has also walked away from Oh So Yum.

Harpreet said it had been a ‘whirlwind journey’ but had made the ‘difficult but exciting decision’ to ‘try something new.’

However, she reassured fans that Oh So Yum would continue to operate without her input.

On Instagram, she explained: ‘After an incredible decade, my journey so far in business has been one that has exceeded anything that I could have ever imagined- but now it is time for something new…

‘From starting Oh So Yum back in 2015, to being part of BBC’s The Apprentice, securing investment from Lord Sugar, and then buying the business back, it’s been a whirlwind. Along the way, we’ve faced ups and downs, celebrated wins and growth, and created something which I believe is truly special.

‘With this incredible experience and foundation in place, I have come to the difficult, but exciting, decision that it is time for something new. Oh So Yum will continue to run as normal, but without me as part of its next chapter.

‘I am so passionate about business and have an entrepreneurial itch that I need to scratch, and I cannot wait!’

Harpreet said she was ‘beyond proud’ of what Oh So Yum had achieved and described it as ‘more than just a business.’

‘It’s taught me about resilience, community, and the power of chasing your dreams and goals,’ she explained.

Harpreet also thanked her supporters for being a part of this ‘unforgettable chapter’.

She signed off the post: ‘As much as I have loved and will miss this business, here’s to new beginnings, bold challenges, and endless possibilities. I’ll be sharing more with you all soon. The next chapter is going to be the best one yet! Watch this space.’

In 2023, Harpreet and Lord Sugar announced they would no longer be working together in a split they called ‘amicable.’

Lord Sugar later issued a glowing statement about Harpreet, saying: ‘Harpreet is an exceptionally bright and driven businesswoman. I’ve enjoyed our time working together, and whilst the time is right for us to now go our separate ways, I have no doubts she will continue to flourish.’

Earlier this year, Harpreet tied the knot with Akshay Thakrar after meeting on The Apprentice.

The couple Рwho went public with their romance shortly after their series of Lordʉ۪s show finished Рopted for an outdoor ceremony in Yorkshire.

Recalling their wedding, Akshay told OK Magazine: ‘The only way I can describe our wedding is that it felt like a movie, it was amazing.’

The Apprentice is available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
