It’s actually been 30 years since first graced our screens and changed the game of morning television.
The entertainment programme launched on September 28 in 1992 and was presented by the likes of , Richard Bacon, Kelly Brook and, of course, Johnny Vaughn and Denise Van Outen.
The hit show was an AM staple throughout the early 1990s, and even ran until 2002 after almost 2,500 episodes, each one packed with absolute chaos.
To celebrate Big Breakfast’s 30th birthday, the pre-launch advert has been circulating online, which shows a young Chris taking the mic and a special appearance from singer Bob Geldof.
Fans of course, were living for the nostalgia, with one tweeting: ‘Used to watch this every morning before school. Nostalgia mode: activated.’
’30 years! I watched this live. Good lord…,’ another added.
‘Surely one of the most influential TV programmes ever. Brilliant show. One of the many reasons for having a TV tuned to. @Channel4 in the bedroom as a teenager in the 90s,’ a third person wrote.
In 1994, Neighbours star Mark Little joined the presenting team to fill in for Chris on certain days.
Later Paul Ross joined the team, taking over different weekdays – though he was replaced by Richard Orford and then Keith Chegwin in 1995.
The show concluded in March 2002, until it was rebooted by Channel 4 with AJ Odudu and Mo Gilligan as presenters in 2021 as a one-off, and brought back for multiple episodes in summer 2022.
The featured the ever iconic Gemma Collins, who was joined by comedian Russell Howard, supermodel Jourdan Dunn and former EastEnders legend Ross Kemp.
Taking to Twitter after the fourth episode finished, one person wrote: ‘What a ride  has been in the past four weeks! Please let there be more soon!’.
Another declared it is ‘the best show on television in ages’, while another claimed it ‘only got better each week’.
‘Why is @Channel4 getting rid of #TheBigBreakfast it’s the best breakie prog on tv at the min!!!’, tweeted one person, saying how nice it was to have something ‘jokey’ back on their screen.
Summing up what we all think, an avid viewer shared: ‘Hope Channel 4 bring this back fully, reminding me of what Saturday morning TV used to be #TheBigBreakfast’
