Sophia Grace Brownlee is expecting a baby boy, she has announced.
The 19-year-old star, who shot to fame on The Ellen DeGeneres Show at the age of eight alongside her younger cousin Rosie McClelland, revealed last month she and her unnamed boyfriend are .
She’s now shared the gender of her baby in a new YouTube video with her 3.4 million subscribers on Saturday in which she cut a cake and popped a balloon to reveal the sex of the unborn tot, both of which were blue.
She exclaimed: ‘I am having a boy!
‘When I first found out I was having a boy, I honestly wasn’t shocked because I just felt like from the start that I was going to be a boy mum and I was going to have a boy.’
Sophia Grace will become a parent for the first time with her boyfriend of two years, whose identity she chooses to keep private.
The former child star became a viral sensation when she , uploaded a video singing Super Bass by Nicki Minaj, wearing tutus, which led to an appearance on Ellen DeGeneres’ show in 2011.
They then became part of The Ellen Show’s furniture over time and attended plenty of red carpet events growing up.
The performer, who has , is currently five months pregnant and recently admitted she ‘couldn’t face’ telling her dad she was pregnant and asked her mum to break the news.
She explained to that he mother was the first person she told, who got over her initial shock quickly and was then ‘really excited and happy about it’.
She then added: ‘Just in any normal family, it’s sort of a hard thing to tell your dad – when you’re a girl – that you’re pregnant, and I’m sure people understand it can be a little bit awkward. We were trying to think of a way to tell my dad and, eventually, I just got my mum to tell him because I couldn’t face doing it myself.’
The influencer went on to confess that she initially thought her dad might feel concerned over her young age but insisted that she feels ‘ready’ to become a mother.
‘It’s not really about age,’ she said. ‘It’s just depending on whether you feel ready or not – and I think I definitely feel ready.’
