The Full Monty’s Mark Addy and Lesley Sharp were pictured arriving at a top-secret location in , as the cast reunite 25 years after the film was released.

will follow the original unlikely strippers as they navigate the post-industrial city of Sheffield and society’s crumbling healthcare, education, and employment sectors.

According to Disney, ‘the series will explore the brighter, sillier and more humane way forward where communal effort can still triumph over adversity’.

Mark and Lesley, who played the loveable couple Dave and Jean in the 1997 film, will be resuming their roles in the upcoming eight-parter – alongside (Gaz), Hugo Speer (Guy), Paul Barber (Horse), Steve Huison (Lomper), Wim Snape (Nathan), and Tom Wilkinson (Gerald).

Lesley, 62, looked chic in a leopard print trench coat as she arrived on set, while Mark, 58, was all smiles in a navy blue puffer jacket and black baseball cap.

Mark’s character Dave won the hearts of fans around the world in the film, which saw him overcoming anxieties about his body image and stripping on stage with the rest of the group, after his wife Jean encouraged him to do so.

While we can’t wait to see the return of the beloved cast, creator Simon Beaufoy expressed he couldn’t wait for fans to be introduced to some new faces.

‘We’re chuffed to bits to get all the Monty Men back together again — now with a chaotic entourage of children, grandchildren, pets, and assorted hangers-on – to see what life in Sheffield is like 25 years on,’ he said.

The 1997 British comedy – directed by Peter Cattaneo – was the highest-grossing film in the country until it was later outsold by Titanic.

The drama followed a group of unemployed men in Sheffield as they decide to form a male striptease act in an attempt to make some money during the 90s.

Production has already kicked off in Sheffield and Manchester and looks likely to be released in 2023.

We can’t wait to see it!

The Full Monty the movie is available to stream on Disney Plus.
