With The Games making its live debut on Monday May 9, Kevin revealed that Stacey showed her support for him in a rather unique way.
Speaking to Metro.co.uk and other press, he said: ‘She thinks it’s absolutely hilarious that I’m doing this.
‘She keeps saying to me, “don’t worry if you come last. It doesn’t matter, it’s just good that you’re doing it.”
‘And I’m like “Stacey, I never said I was going to come last.”‘
He added: ‘She also said “I don’t care where you come in the results, I’m just dead at the part when you’re about to go swimming, and the camera is going to pan past you in your speedos.”
‘She finds that whole thing hilarious.’
Although Kevin departed Strictly Come Dancing in 2020, his big concern over The Games is ‘showing off’ in front of the live crowd.
‘I’m so used to thinking “let’s entertain everyone,”‘ he enthused.
‘It’ll egg me on and I’m worried that my technique will go out the window because I’ll be like “yeah let’s go!”‘
