The Maccabees have sparked reunion rumours eight years after their initial split.
The Maccabees confirmed in 2024 for a headline performance at a popular UK festival after  ago in 2016.
The indie rock icons will perform at All Points East (APE) on August 24, 2025, which coincidentally marks 10 years since their critically acclaimed album Marks To Prove It.
As their reunion looms, fans now believe that there might be another appearance on the cards – this time at .
On a Glastonbury Reddit discussion, one fan, Monotheisticatheism, asked: ‘Maccabees, thoughts? They’re back and headlining All Points East in August, so thoughts on a glasto slot – potentially a bloc party esq slot on other stage? Would be cool to see them play.’
‘I would say 100% secret set. I would imagine if offered the chance to play…. they would not be able to say no!’ said IAMSLOTH50.
‘Headlining the park according to rumours,’ speculated DrMangosteen2.
However, other fans have pointed out that Glastonbury is taking place in June, before All Points East, which could be an issue as their performance at the latter festival has been pitched as a reunion.
‘Would they do it before APE? Seemed like a more exclusive thing the way it was pitched,’ asked WishfulStinking2.
‘I am pretty sure they said that APE was their “Reunion” show so it feels unlikely they will be at Glasto but you never know,’ added Asphyxiat263.
‘I’d be surprised that APE haven’t got some sort of undisclosed festival exclusivity before August in place, especially considering it’s been “sold in” as a massive reunion show. I think there might be a few teeny-tiny warm-ups in the week or so before, but don’t think they’ll be doing festivals,’ added Paultays.
Although speculation is rife about which acts might be appearing at the festival, Glastonbury has yet to release the full list of acts.
This means The Maccabees have not been confirmed as acts, nor could they confirm if they were involved in the festival until the official announcement from the organisers.
