The Penteverate comes in the form of six 30-minute episodes, and follows Mike playing a journalist who undergoes a mission to uncover hidden secrets and save the world.

But as promising as the show sounds, audiences have some questions about the show – namely, what does The Penteverate even mean?

What does Pentaverate mean?

The Pentevarate is a comedy series shrouded in mystery, following a journalist who is trying to uncover the world’s deepest secrets.

It heavily features some of the world’s most infamous conspiracy theories, and the title of the show reflects this.

In the series, The Pentaverate is an Illuminati-type secret society, founded in 1347 when five men realised what was actually causing the Black Plague.

They began the secret group to influence humanity for what they believe is the greater good, and are made up of five of the most influential and powerful people on the planet.

As for the name of the group, the roots can be traced to Latin: Penta means Five, and Vera means Truth.

So, the Pentaverate literally means the five truth – and the five members are the only ones who know the real truth.

What is the show about?

The Pentaverate asks the question: ‘What if a secret society of five men – aka The Pentaverate – has been working to influence world events for the greater good since the Black Plague of 1347?’

Mike Myers plays eight of the lead roles, the first being Canadian journalist Ken Scarborough, whose mission is to expose the Pentaverate, win his job back and save the world.

He also plays several conspiracy theorists, a Pentaverate member, a media mogul, Russian oligarch and more.
