The Ultimatum reunion is being released on Netflix this week, but fans are convinced that April Marie and Jake Cunningham have already split.

April after two years of dating, in a bid to take their romance to the next level and get engaged.

The program – which comes from the creator behind Love Is Blind – is presented by Nick Lachey and his wife, Vanessa, and  as they decide whether to commit to marriage or end their relationship.

To help with the decision-making process, and give us some great TV, they briefly split and date another partner before returning to their original couple.

Ahead of the finale, fans have suggested that April and Jake did not make it through the experiment and have gone their separate ways.

Eagle-eyed followers noted that they are no longer following each other on social media, and questioned the reasons behind the decision.

‘I just need to know if you and your man are still together bc baybeeeee you’re absolutely the better choice [sic],’ a fan wrote underneath April’s most recent Instagram post, showing her enjoying a night out in Las Vegas.

‘Sadly I dnt think they are they dnt follow each other unless it’s a bate lol but he going to regret for sure if he didn’t [sic],’ one commented.

‘They don’t follow each other anymore,’ another noticed.

While an Instagram user predicted: ‘The blonde hair tells me y’all broke up.’

‘I suspect they’re not, It looks like she’s in a real with someone else… [sic],’ a follower added.

Shortly into the experiment, which landed on the streaming platform last week, Jake got close to Rae Williams – who issued boyfriend Zay Wilson with an ultimatum.

They appeared to have an instant bond and became inseparable, throwing their previous relationships into doubt.

However, they have since spoken out about the scenes in a new interview, insisting that they had not been intimate in unaired scenes.

‘Me and Rae were very respectful doing the whole situation,’ Jake told Us Weekly. ‘No matter how it looks, we did not have sex. The only thing we did was kiss. I slept in a separate bed for the first five days on the show.’

Addressing speculation on their bond, they vowed that they had a ‘strict rule’ in place ‘as far as physical things went’.

’I kissed him a lot. I was one who initiated kissing with him, but we didn’t take it past kissing. And that was really important to both of us,’ Rae continued.

‘The whole time that you’re going on these romantic dates and you’re connecting and you’re living with this person living your day-to-day life with them – in the back of your mind is always the jealousy that you have toward your original partner and what they’re experiencing.

‘And then just the guilt for… Sometimes [I’d] get really happy and I’d be like, “Oh, I’m so happy right now. I love hanging out with this guy. I can’t wait to go home and cook dinner with him and watch a movie and do whatever”. And then I was like, “I should not feel like this”.’

The Ultimatum is available to stream on Netflix now.
