When people see Brayden Lape, they are often surprised to learn that he is only 16 years old because of his towering stature. The height of the adolescent is 6 feet and 4 inches.

He hails from the quaint community of Grass Lake, which is located in Michigan, and he currently attends Grass Lake High School, where he participates in the sports of football, basketball, and baseball. In addition to that, he is the quarterback for the football team at his school.

It was only during the epidemic that his parents, Kari Ann and Bryan Lape, decided to pursue music as a career. He is their son. Lape became proficient on the guitar, sang cover songs, and even played a few open mic nights during his musical career.

Michigan’s Brayden Lape learns his top 10 ‘The Voice’ fate and it was suspenseful

On “The Voice,” it was either make the top 10 or go home for Brayden Lape of Michigan. The 16-year-old contestant, who was the youngest competitor still in the competition, found out tonight whether he would advance further in the popular NBC singing competition or whether his run there would come to an end.

Grass Lake High School, which is located just east of Jackson, is where Lape is currently a sophomore. Last night, for his performance in the top 13, Lape sang Sam Hunt’s cover of Kenny Chesney’s “Come Over.” He received tremendous accolades for his performance from both Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, who is also his coach.

“Wow! You should know that there is simply something special about you. According to Stefani, “it’s like, you don’t really have to do much and that’s rare.” You’re 16 now, which means you’re just going to start getting to know yourself better, and I think that what you do is just be so pure, and that’s what people love about you. I want you to remember that about yourself because I think that what you do is just be so pure, and that’s what people love about you. “

“I’ve got to tell you, you just have that thing,” the other person said. “You have a strong country voice that is distinct and it’s one of a kind,” added Shelton, who served as the singer’s coach. “Not to mention how far you’re going to go on this show, you have a bright future ahead of you in the world of country music. It should come as no surprise that people adore you. You’re the man; you’ve got it all. Congratulations.”

Tonight was a lot more nerve-wracking for Lape as a result of the situation. The previous week, he and Bodie gained the most votes, and as a result, he immediately learned that he had moved up from the top 16 to the top 13 of the competition. Tonight, all three of Shelton’s other artists found out that America voted for them to make it into the top 10, while Lape continued to wait for word of what would happen to him.

After that, there were six before Carson took over as host. Daly questioned Lape about the significance of Shelton’s confidence in his abilities. The response from Lape was, “It’s been fantastic.” “I believe that all of the criticism that he’s given me, I’m just going to carry that into my future career, and we’ll see where it takes me,” she said. Thank you so much for everything.

After that, there were five competitors left, at which point Daly finally broke the bad news, but Lape had already advanced to the top 10. Next week, on Monday, November 28, at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time (ET), we will watch Lape perform live on NBC. The results of who advances to the next round will be shown live the following night at 8:00 p.m. ET.

We were introduced to Lape for the first time on “The Voice” on September 20 during his blind audition, during which he sang “This Town” by Niall Horan. Only Shelton out of the four coaches flipped a chair for him. Shelton was the only one. Coach John Legend compared Lape Shelton’s quarterback play to that of Tom Brady.

The next round, the Battle Round, took place on October 18 and pitted Lape against Benny Weag, who is 29 years old and has a great deal more performance experience. The song “Pretty Heart” by Parker McCollum was played by the duo, and after it, Shelton elected to advance Lape to the Knockout Round. There, he competed against and defeated two other competitors to earn a spot in the top 16 and his first live show.

Lape performed Jordan Davis’s “Buy Dirt” earned his spot in the top 16 of the competition. He and Bodie were the two contenders who received the most votes overall, so the American public decided to preserve them. And then, as we indicated earlier, following his performance from the previous evening, Lape found out that he has advanced to the top 10 of the competition.

During season 22 of “The Voice,” there were two more contestants from the Great Lakes State who advanced past the Blind Auditions. Sadie Bass, who is 25 years old and originally from Bath, Michigan, located close to Lansing, is presently residing in Nashville, Tennessee. She was eliminated in the second round’s Battle Round after landing on Gwen Stefani’s team and competing in it. SOLsong, a native of Saginaw who graduated from Eastern Michigan University, was also ousted in the Battle Round.

Blake Shelton Says 16-Year-Old Brayden Lape Has “A Future in Country Music” After Epic Kenny Chesney Cover On ‘The Voice’

Because of his outstanding country cover on NBC’s The Voice, 16-year-old Brayden Lape has “a future in Country music,” according to Blake Shelton.

The Michigan adolescent from a tiny town recalled the occasion when he first fell in love with music and decided that a career in country music was the road he wanted to take before entering the stage during rehearsals.

“This band at this bar let me go on stage after my dad spoke with them. I was about 14 at the time, Lape said. “I felt so anxious. I stood up in front of the microphone, ran a quick sound check, and then I began singing. My life was altered by that day. I fell in love with performing as a result, and it helped me get to where I am now.

Lape next sang an outstanding cover of the No. 1 Chesney hit “Come Over” on Monday night’s (Nov. 21) Top 13 Live Playoff episode. Sam Hunt co-wrote the song with Kenny Chesney.

The show’s youngest participant, a rising country singer, made his way around the stage while belting out the lyrics to the popular song.

On the chorus of the song, Lape sang, “I told you I wouldn’t call, I told you I wouldn’t care / But sweetheart, climbing the walls gets me nowhere / I don’t believe that I can handle this bed getting much colder / Come over, come over, come over, come over.”

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, coaches on The Voice, lauded his vocal prowess after he sang the country song.

Shelton said, “He’s so naturally gifted,” to which his wife Stefani responded, “so handsome and so tall.”

Stefani said, “Wow, There’s just something about you, you really don’t have to do much, and that’s unique. “Really, just be who you are. Because you’re 16 and just starting to get to know yourself better, I want you to keep that fact about yourself in mind. What you do is extremely pure, in my opinion. People appreciate that about you.

Shelton concurred with Stefani’s remarks, saying “You just have that thing, she’s right.”

After praising his distinctive vocal range, Blake Shelton said he had what it takes to be successful in country music.

“Believe me. Just so you know, other members of this panel think highly of you,” Shelton continued. “Man, you really have that. You have a distinctive and strong country voice. Not to mention how far you’re going on this show, you have a future in country music. Man, you’ve got it all.

Lape needs America’s vote to advance to the next stage of the competition because the show was a live playoff. On Tuesday night’s (Nov. 22) one-hour episode of The Voice on NBC, Lape’s future as a contestant on the well-known singing competition programme will be made known.

Lape has been a fan favourite on The Voice ever since his blind audition, when he performed “This Town” by Niall Horan with a country twist on the NBC studio stage.

On Tuesday, November 22, The Voice will return at 8/7c on NBC.

What Made Brayden Lape Audition in The Voice?

Brayden’s participation on The Voice, let alone his singing career, was a surprise to everyone. For the benefit of those who might not be aware of it, he excelled in all three sports that were offered at the high school he attended in Grass Lake, which is located in the state of Michigan. After performing “This Town” by Niall Horan, Brayden was not regarded as an exceptional auditionee by the judges. Camila Cabello, however, believes that Shelton is capable of cultivating a quality that was emanating from his tone.
