Staff members at are reportedly ‘furious’ after not receiving invitations to the National Television Awards.

However, it’s thought that the likes of , Alison Hammond, and Dermot O’Leary have been given preference over behind-the-scenes workers on the award-winning daytime show.
Due to the cost of living crisis, This Morning’s party will only consist of on-screen talent and senior executives.
A source revealed to that This Morning is reportedly ‘slimming down’ the number of attendees.
‘People are upset at the slimming down, as the show is such a group effort and the awards are usually a big night out for the whole team,’ they said.
‘They’re blaming the cost of living crisis but seem to be splashing the cash elsewhere.’
‘It doesn’t help to shut down rumours of a toxic atmosphere,’ the insider also said.
‘Some people suspect that bosses know it isn’t going to be a stellar year for This Morning after all the Scan**l.’
An ITV source also told the publication: ‘There are fewer staff attending this year due to budget cuts.’
It would be an understatement to say it’s been a turbulent year for This Morning and ITV.
So, it remains to be seen whether will take home the NTA for best daytime show for the 13th year in a row.
Earlier this year, dropped a bombshell confession, admitting to an affair with a much younger male colleague at This Morning following years of speculation.
The affair happened while Phillip was still married and before he came out as gay.
He later vehemently denied allegations that he ‘groomed’ the individual – who has not been named publicly – and has described their fling as ‘unwise but not illegal’.
Phillip stepped down from his role as a This Morning host and resigned from all ITV commitments after lying about the affair, with former long-time co-host Holly also claiming not to have known.
Fast forward to now and while Phillip remains largely out of the limelight, an investigation is underway into the circumstances surrounding his departure.
It comes after several ITV stars – on and off the TV screen – said there had been bullying in the workplace and described the environment as ‘toxic’.
ITV has drafted in barrister Jane Mulcahy KCand staff are being questioned.

ITV declined to comment.
The National Television Awards 2023 is set to air on Tuesday, September 5 from 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
